PINE COUNTRY GEM & MINERAL SOC. PLANS FOR THE FUTURE The Club has finally acquired its own building for meetings, thanks to the Estate of Joe and Violet Tonahill. This facility will enable the Club to set up donated equipment for use by the members under the supervision of a trained operator. Storage space for the Club library is provided in the new building. Display cabinets are made available for a permanent display of gem, mineral, and fossil exhibits that will serve as a museum for the general public and the surrounding schools. Experienced members will serve as instructors in silversmithing, cabochon making, faceting, wire-crafting, and other lapidary skills as soon as the work area is refinished We now include a link to the current copy of The Pineywoods Rooter, our club newsletter, in the section "About Us". Plans are to establish an archive of previous club bulletins for reference purposes.
