Chocolate Turtle Pie

Cookie Crust:
2 cups Oreo cookies crumbs (18)
1/4 cup melted butter
Caramel Filling:
1 cup caramel candies (20)
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 cups pecans
Topping:
3/4 cup (4 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
Make cookie crust:
Preheat oven to 375. Combine cookie crumbs with butter in medium bowl. Press evenly in bottom and up the sides of 9-inch tart or pie pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

Prepare Caramel Filling
Melt caramels, stirring frequently, in heavy sauce pan over low heat, Stir in cream, Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Spread evenly in prepared crust, Refrigerate 10 minutes.

Prepare Topping:
Melt chocolate in double boiler over simmering water. Stir in cream. Drizzle over filling. Refrigerate at least 1 hour . Makes 12 servings.
